More funding for behavioral health services

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Enhanced funding for behavioral health services will support a four-year Medicaid program with new clinical offerings in the Land of Enchantment. Kari Armijo, cabinet secretary for the New Mexico Human Services Department said, the launch of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics is a significant step forward in ensuring that all New Mexicans will have access to high-quality, comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment. The state will launch the new clinical program in 2025, and will offer 24/7 crisis help and comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment. Services will be offered to anyone who walks in, regardless of age or insurance. New Mexico was selected as one of 10 states to receive the enhanced funding.
