Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — PNM and community leaders celebrated the completion of a new solar farm in Valencia County Thursday. The Sky Ranch Solar Energy Center has more than 412,000 panels and can produce up to 190 megawatts of power. Which is can keep the lights on in 51,000 homes a year. Laura Sanchez, executive director of Government and Public Affairs at PNM says, this project puts them one step closer to their goal of being 100 percent carbon-free in the future. They report they are already more than halfway there. According to PNM, over the next 20 years, the project is expected to generate millions in additional revenue for Valencia County and New Mexico
