Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A grand opening was held Wednesday to celebrate Ceja Vista Apartments, a senior affordable housing complex at 10001 Ceja Vista Rd. SW. near Atrisco Vista High School. The 156-unit complex is the partner development to the neighboring Valle De Atrisco family apartments and was made possible in part through project revenue bonds, a property tax exemption program for multi-family housing projects, provided by Bernalillo County.
In total, the project’s construction by DBG Properties LLC was expected to generate $64.2 million in economic output and support 282 construction jobs. Together these housing developments provide 400 units of affordable housing and are both already leased to capacity.
“The fact that these projects were built so close to each other is huge for my district who values heritage and family and keeping those connections close, but most of all, these new units mean more affordable housing options for residents in the South Valley for decades to come,” says District 2 Commissioner Steven Michael Quezada.
