Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — APD’s Fatal Crash Unit is investigating a fatal crash resulting in the death of a motorcyclist in Southwest Albuquerque.
Officers responded Saturday evening at 6:25 p.m. to the crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle in the area of 86th St SW and Sedge Creek Rd SW.
The preliminary investigation determined that a blue Nissan sedan was stopped facing east at the stop sign on Sedge Creek Rd with 86th St. The vehicle made a left turn to go north on 86th St. when a black Harley Davidson struck into the driver’s side rear passenger door of the Nissan. The Harley had been traveling south on 86th St prior to the crash. The driver of the Harley died on scene. The driver of the black Nissan was transported to UNM Hospital with minor injuries.
The case is under investigation.
