Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — APD’s Fatal Crash Team investigated a crash that resulted in the death of a pedestrian who ran into lanes of traffic Sunday morning.
Investigators determined a vehicle was traveling on Central Ave. around 6 a.m. when a pedestrian, an adult male, ran across westbound lanes of traffic near General Arnold St., N.E. The pedestrian ran across the first two lanes of traffic in front of other vehicles and then entered the third lane of traffic where he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was unable to see the pedestrian crossing the road due to the moving traffic.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and died shortly after.
