(Albuquerque)-The Mayor of Taos says social distancing seems to be working in their community. But Mayor Daniel Barrone did impose a curfew … said to be the first in New Mexico … from 10 at night until 6 the next morning. Barrone says it’s a new normal for Taos and pretty much everyone is following the new rules.
But Barrone says there are few who are not. He says everyone is basically working from home and the hope is it’ll cut the number of coronavirus cases in Taos, which right now has 14 cases. That’s a lot of cases when you consider the population in Taos.
The city has also closed down short term rentals under the emergency proclamation so travellers don’t stay in Taos.
