HE SAYS THE INCREASE ON A 20-THOUSAND DOLLAR VEHICLE WOULD MEAN THE TAX GOES FROM 600 DOLLARS TO 800 DOLLARS. HENSON SAYS IT AMOUNTS TO A 33 PERCENT INCREASE IN THE TAX. MUCH OF THE MONEY RAISED WILL GO TOWARD ROAD PROJECTS IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO IN SUPPORT OF THE EXPANDING OIL AND NATURAL GAS BUSINESS IN THE AREA.
