Leave Young Animals Alone

A WORD OF CAUTION FROM THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF GAME AND FISH AS WE HEAD INTO SUMMER. IF YOU SEE DEER OR ANTELOPE FAWNS, BEAR CUBS OR OTHER YOUNG ANIMALS…LEAVE THEM ALONE. CHANCES ARE THE YOUNG WILDLIFE ARE SIMPLY HIDING UNTIL THEIR PARENTS RETURN FROM FORAGING NEARBY.

A DEPARTMENT BIOLOGIST WARNS THAT REMOVING THESE ANIMALS CAN COST THEM THEIR LIVES. IN MOST CASES, THE BEST THING TO DO IS LEAVE THE ANIMAL ALONE, AND QUIETLY LEAVE THE AREA.
