NEW MEXICO HAS GOOD RUNOFF THIS SEASON THANKS TO ALL THE SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS … AND THE SNOW JUST KEEPS COMING, SO FAR. THE RUNOFF THIS YEAR IS EXPECTED TO SEND MUCH NEEDED WATER INTO THE RIO GRANDE, WHERE TOURISM SHOULD FLOURISH THIS SEASON. THE ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL REPORTS THE WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS PREDICTED THAT THE RUNOFF WILL BE AT LEAST 48 PERCENT OF NORMAL THROUGH NEXT MONTH.
THAT’LL MAKE THE RIVER ESPECIALLY GOOD FOR FISHING, RAFTING, AND KAYAKING. THE RUNOFF IS ALSO EXPECTED TO BE GOOD FOR THE ECOSYSTEM AROUND THE RIVER.
