NM Organizing Gun Buy-Back Event

THE ALBUQUERQUE POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL HOLD A GUN BUY-BACK PROGRAM LATER THIS SUMMER, AIMED AT PEOPLE WHO NO LONGER WANT THEIR FIREARMS. IT’LL BE HELD SATURDAY, JULY 13TH, AT THE CESAR CHAVEZ COMMUNITY CENTER ON KATHRYN AVENUE SOUTHEAST.

ORGANIZERS WILL PAY 75-DOLLARS FOR HANDGUNS, RIFLES AND SHOTGUNS…AND 100-DOLLARS FOR ASSAULT RIFLES. THE WEAPONS MUST BE OPERABLE.

THE EVENT IS SPONSORED BY APD, CRIMESTOPPERS, AND THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE. APD SAYS THE BUY-BACK PROGRAM IS PART OF MAYOR TIM KELLER’S PLAN TO ADDRESS GUN VIOLENCE IN ALBUQUERQUE.
