MORE SNOW TRANSLATES INTO MORE VISITORS AT NEW MEXICO SKI RESORTS. GEORGE BROOKS WITH SKI NEW MEXICO SAYS THERE WERE MORE THAN A MILLION SKIER VISITS OVER THE WINTER, THE HIGHEST NUMBER IN 21 YEARS. THAT’S A MAJOR TURN-AROUND FROM THE YEAR BEFORE WHICH WAS ONE OF THE DRIEST WINTERS ON RECORD.
THE SKI AREAS AVERAGED 185 INCHES OF SNOW THIS SEASON…WITH SKI SANTA FE COMING IN AT NUMBER ONE WITH 283 INCHES, OR MORE THAN 23 FEET OF SNOW.
