A WOMAN FACES UP TO 10 YEARS IN PRISON OR A MAXIMUM OF LIFE IN PRISON AFTER BEING CAUGHT WITH CLOSE TO 20 POUNDS OF FENTANYL IN HER LUGGAGE ON A PASSENGER TRAIN STOPPED IN ALBUQUERQUE.
AUTHORITIES ARRESTED DANIELA COTA-GUITTIMEA AND WILL KEEP HER IN CUSTODY UNTIL HER TRIAL. A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT SAYS COTA-GUITTIMEA WAS APPROACHED BY APD AND THE DEA WHEN THE TRAIN STOPPED IN ALBUQUERQUE. SHE TOLD AGENTS THAT SHE PACKED THE DRUGS BUT DIDN’T NOW HOW MUCH OR WHAT KIND OF DRUG SHE WAS CARRYING. SHE SAID SHE WAS TAKING THE FENTANYL TO LOS ANGELES AND CHICAGO.
