A COLD, WET WINTER TRANSLATES INTO A LOT OF POTHOLES IN ALBUQUERQUE. JOHNNY CHANDLER WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF MUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT SAYS CREWS HAVE BEEN BUSY THIS YEAR RESPONDING TO REPORTS OF POTHOLES. HE SAYS THEY DO PRIORITIZE WHEN IT COMES TO FIXING THOSE HOLES IN THE ROADS. HE SAYS THEIR PRIORITY IS THE MAIN ARTERIALS THAT GET SO MUCH MORE TRAFFIC THAN SIDE STREETS.
SINCE LAST JULY, CREWS HAVE REPAIRED OVER 87-HUNDRED POTHOLES IN ALBUQUERQUE. CHANDLER SAYS THAT NUMBER WILL LIKELY EXCEED 9-THOUSAND BY THE END OF APRIL.
