THE BERNALILLO COUNTY COMMISSION HAS CHOSEN WEST CENTRAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP TO RUN A PROPOSED ROUTE 66 VISITORS CENTER. THE FACILITY IS TO BE BUILT NEAR I-40 AND ATRISCO VISTA BOULEVARD ON THE COUNTY’S FAR WEST SIDE. FUNDING FOR THE PROJECT CURRENTLY STANDS AT FIVE AND-A-HALF MILLION DOLLARS.
THE COUNTY SAYS THE 56-HUNDRED SQUARE FOOT BUILDING WILL BE DEVELOPED IN PHASES.
