NM Public Safety Dept. Has New Police Chief

THE NEW MEXICO STATE POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS A NEW CHIEF. GOVERNOR LUJAN GRISHAM HAS APPOINTED TIM JOHNSON TO THE JOB. JOHNSON TAKES THE TOP JOB AFTER RUNNING THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY’S INVESTIGATIONS BUREAU.

THE GOVERNOR HAS ALSO APPOINTED THREE NEW DEPUTY CHIEFS INCLUDING NICK ARAGON, CAROLYN HUYNH AND ROBERT THORNTON THE THIRD. JOHNSON REPLACES PETE KASSETAS WHO RETIRED BACK IN EARLY JANUARY.
