THE PERCENTAGE OF STUDENTS AT SANTA FE PUBLIC SCHOOLS WHO’VE BEEN EXEMPTED FROM GETTING THEIR VACCINATIONS COULD BE RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC ON THE SCHOOL’S WEB SITE. THAT’S THE DECISION OF THE SANTA FE PUBLIC SCHOOL BOARD DURING A MEETING TUESDAY NIGHT. KOB TV REPORTS THE STUDENT’S NAMES WON’T BE MENTIONED IN THE REPORT.
OUT OF A TOTAL OF 13-THOUSAND STUDENTS IN SANTA FE, 284 WERE EXEMPTED FROM BEING VACCINATED THIS YEAR. PARENTS CHOSE NOT TO GET THEIR CHILDREN VACCINATED BECAUSE THEY THINK THE SHOTS ARE LINKED TO AUTISM AND OTHER HEALTH ISSUES.
RELIGIOUS ISSUES ARE THE REASON STUDENTS WOULD BE ALLOWED TO NOT BE VACCINATED UNDER THE DISTRICT’S RULES.
