THE NEXT MOVE FOR ALBUQUERQUE VOTERS IS NEXT MONTH’S RUNOFF ELECTION. TWO RACES RESULTED WITH CANDIDATES READY TO FACE EACH OTHER ON NOVEMBER 14TH WHEN THE RUNOFF IS HELD. STATE AUDITOR TIM KELLER HAS THE MOST VOTES IN THE MAYOR’S RACE, WINNING 41 PERCENT OF THE VOTE. HE’LL CHALLENGE CITY COUNCILOR DAN LEWIS, WHO TOOK 21 PERCENT OF THE VOTE.
TWO CANDIDATES IN THE DISTRICT 5 CITY COUNCIL RACE WILL ALSO COMPETE IN NOVEMBER’S RUNOFF: ROBERT ARAGON AND CYNTHIA BORREGA. ARAGON WON 39 PERCENT OF THE VOTE TO BORREGA’S 38 PERCENT.
