Plea Deal in Chavez-Silver Killing

There’s another plea connected to the shooting death of Jaydon Chavez-Silver in June of 2015. The Bernalillo County DA’s Office says Dominic Conyers pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit first-degree murder as well as shooting at an occupied dwelling. He now faces 12 years in prison. Conyers is 21 years old and is the second person to enter a plea in the death of Chavez-Silver. Nicholas Gonzales was sentenced in February to a year in the custody of CYFD. He has agreed to testify against Conyers and a third person, Esias Madrid. Conyers trial was set to begin on Monday. Madrid’s trial is now scheduled for September.
