Albuquerque Spice Sales Lead to Convictions in Federal Drug Case

Two people, including a business owner, each face up to 20 years in prison after a federal jury found them guilty of trafficking synthetic marijuana, commonly known as Spice. The US Attorney’s Office says Fidal Abdeljawad and Ashley Watson conspired to distribute Spice in Bernalillo County.

Abdeljawad is the owner of Sean’s Smoke Shop on Central Avenue. Law enforcement officers say they found hundreds of packets of Spice and bundles of cash totaling more than $10,000 during their investigation.
