As we hit the warm weather months, the long-range forecast shows May and June could be wetter than average in New Mexico. That according to National Weather Service Meteorologist Kerry Jones. As for the monsoons, Jones says we always do better when the season starts early. It’s good both in terms of cooler temperatures and higher precipitation.
Unfortunately, Jones says indications are we could have a late start to monsoon season this year and even a delay of two or three weeks could be significant.
