Remember the scandal that broke when it was revealed that some veterans had to wait for weeks, if not months, to get in to see someone at the VA? Interim Deputy Secretary for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Scott Blackburn, visited the Duke City recently to assess the situation. He says there’s still a lot of room for improvement in New Mexico.
He says one thing they’ve been stressing over the last year is the same day services whereby a vet can call the hospital and get the care needed right away.
