Albuquerque residents could end up paying a higher tax on gasoline. The City Council on Monday night is expected to consider a proposal that would hike the tax by another 2 cents a gallon. The city wants to use that tax revenue on repairing streets and roads.
As for what the tax would add to your annual gasoline bill: It’s believed to be about 12 dollars. If the measure passes the council, it’ll be put before voters to decide. KOB TV reports reaction so far is mixed with some in favor of the tax and others against it.
