City employees in Santa Fe thought they’d be getting a 5% pay increase. The raise was a proposal made in February by Mayor Javier Gonzales. However, the Santa Fe New Mexican says Gonzales has had to revise the plan, saying the initial estimate on how much the raises would cost was too low. He now says he’s backing a 2% cost of living increase for the employees.
