Fewer folks walking the hallways at Intel in Rio Rancho. The company reported Monday that it now has 1,200 workers in Rio Rancho, down from 1,900 a year ago. The figures come from a report presented to the Sandoval County Commission. The company says about half of the decline was due to retirements while others took a voluntary separation package. Intel announced last year that it was going to reduce its worldwide workforce by 11%.
