Albuquerque Police continue investigating a fatal shooting on the city’s west side of a man remembered in a candlelight vigil Monday night. Officer Fred Duran says they were called to a car wash in the 2900 block of Coors near Quail sometime after 7 PM Sunday. The victim, 59-year-old Early Roybal, had been shot in the chest. He died later at the hospital.
Witnesses have said there was some kind of confrontation between Roybal and another person at the car wash. The suspect allegedly complained Roybal was taking too long.
Anyone with any information on the case should call Crimestoppers.
