Sentence Handed Down in High Profile Murder Case

The teenager who prosecutors say was behind the wheel in a fatal drive-by shooting in Albuquerque has been sentenced to one year in the custody of the State Children Youth and Families Department. Seventeen-year-old Nicholas Gonzales has also agreed to testify against the other defendants in the case- 20-year-old Dominic Conyers and 19-year-old Esias Madrid.

They both face first-degree murder charges in the death of Manzano High School student Jayden Chavez-Silver in 2015.
