A New Mexico lawmaker says more state buildings should go solar. Senator Jeff Steinborn’s bill requiring solar power on state buildings has now been approved by the Senate Conservation Committee. Steinborn says it would create jobs and save millions in utility bills. He says it would help during these tough budget times.
Steinborn says right now, only two state buildings have solar power. He says deciding which buildings to convert to solar would be done on a case-by-case basis.
