Supporters of Obamacare in Albuquerque rallied on Civic Plaza Wednesday. They want Republicans in Congress to look for a bi-partisan way to hold onto the benefits the Affordable Care Act is providing.
Rallies nationwide have been organized by healthcare and advocacy groups so residents have a chance to express how the Obamacare has helped them.
Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich and Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham all sent representatives to the Albuquerque rally. Udall says about 300,000 New Mexicans are covered by Obamacare and Medicaid expansion.
