Not only will Don Tripp of Socorro lose his House Speaker position when state lawmakers convene next month, he won’t be in the legislature at all. Tripp tells News Radio KKOB he’ll resign his seat after passing the gavel over to the new Democratic House Speaker on day-one of the session. Tripp was Speaker the last two years when Republicans held the majority of the House.
