February is the shortest month of the year, but it’s a little longer this year. It’s a leap year so we have an extra day this month. Leap year happens every four years so the solar system can synch up with the Gregorian calendar. Leap day is coming up next Monday, February 29th. That means we have five Mondays this February, something that only happens every 28 years. The last time we had five Mondays in February was 1988 and the next time it happens will be in 2044. Of course, most people consider Monday the worst day of the week according to many studies done over the years. You would rather have five Fridays in February, right? Well, you only have to wait until 2036 for that to happen. How about five Saturdays in February? That wait isn’t as long- 2020.
