BV’s Confidential

It’s time for another fall classic, this time it is the Royals and Mets.  I feel we are at the end of an era when it comes to professional baseball, due in large part to MLB’s own problems and lack of adaptability in modern times.  In fact all the baseball playoff action up until the World Series was on cable not even on network TV. The World Series even differs to regular season football no World Series games on Mondays or Thursdays.  How can this once proud sport recover in popularity?  It probably can’t.  There is too much on the plate for sports fans or media consumers for that matter to be involved in now anyway.  Like other fringe sports, horse racing is only interesting to the masses when there is a Triple Crown threat and boxing is only interesting when there is a controversy or a 100 million dollar fight.  Baseball like hockey is limping into obscurity.  With that said I will take the Royals in 6.
