BV’s Confidential

With the NFL season upon us, let me go on record with my official picks so you can place your wagers wisely!  Let’s start with the AFC East–the Patriots will win the division but a close second will be the Buffalo Bills who will make the playoffs.  In the AFC North the Bengals will win the division followed by the Steelers in second. The Ravens have a down year and will miss the playoffs.  AFC South–who else–the Colts, and in the AFC West the Broncos, but the Chargers will threaten.

In the NFC East the Cowboys win, followed by the Eagles who will make the playoffs.  NFC North champ will be the Minnesota Vikings, Packers second.  In the NFC South Atlanta with New Orleans second.  In the West the 49ers, with Seattle second.

The AFC championship game will feature the Patriots and Steelers.  In the NFC, Cowboys and Eagles.  So who will play in Super Bowl 50?  It will be fitting that the two franchises that are most responsible for popularizing the Super Bowl and the NFL for that matter over the last 5 decades will meet in the golden anniversary of the big game.  For the fourth time and the most often played match-up in Super Bowl history, will we see the Cowboys and Steelers again. With the Cowboys winning 28-16, MVP Dez Bryant.

Other predictions, Peyton Manning will retire in week 7 of the season, to be replaced by an aged Brett Favre whose arm will fall off at the shoulder in week 11.  The Broncos will then sign Joe Montana who becomes the first NFL player to use a scooter during the game.  Montana will finish third in the MVP voting.  Tom Brady will be cut by New England and wind his career up in Jacksonville.
