I, like many of you, am infuriated that our justice system continues to release dangerous criminals on small bail amounts. One this week got out on his own recognizance while a murder charge is pending. Judges are immune from answering for their decisions and the district attorney’s office says they’re overwhelmed. What does that mean for us? It means we live in a city that’s growingly more dangerous. The police are mystified that hardened felons are back on the streets.
