Officer Gregg Benner will be laid to rest today and questions remain why his accused killer was out of jail after a series of violent offenses. We’ll continue to ask those questions and push for the change that hardened criminals like Andrew Romero aren’t allowed to walk the streets. Also, this is the weekend when we remember the D-Day invasion in 1944. I recently went to a D-Day exhibit and was reminded of the horrors of that day but that our men keep moving forward. I’ll never forget their sacrifice. I hope you won’t either.
