The Pit
Many of you have reacted negatively to the decision to sell the naming rights to the Pit to Wise Pies Pizza. I will likely to continue to call it “The Pit” and I’m sure you will too. In the meantime, UNM has partnered with a local business and potentially created a revenue stream of $5 million. On a national level, this is a cash poor program in need of every dollar it can create. If you don’t like the name, Wise Pies Arena, don’t use it. Maybe, just maybe, with a sponsorship like this one, you’ll be spared your next ticket price increase.
