POLICE: STOLEN GUNS FACEBOOK POSTS LEADS TO ARREST

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) A New Mexico man is facing larceny charges after Albuquerque police say he posted Facebook photos of stolen guns from an unsolved burglary. KOB-TV reports that Christopher Banegas recently was arrested and charged in connection with a September 2013 heist.

According to police, Banegas stole firearms from an Albuquerque home but authorities had no leads in the case. Police say the victim recently saw picture of his stolen guns Christopher Banegas's Facebook page. The victim was a friend of Banegas and told police he didn't check his Facebook page because he didn't suspect him.

Banegas is facing charges of aggravated burglary, larceny of a firearm, and tampering with evidence. It was not known if he had an attorney.
