SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) Authorities in Espanola say a 3-year-old girl was grazed by a bullet during a shooting in a parking lot in the northern New Mexico city. Police say they're looking for those involved in the Thursday night shooting in a Wal-Mart parking lot. The Santa Fe New Mexican reports that the girl was treated at a hospital and released.
Detective Solomon Romero said investigators believe the shootout stemmed from a feud between rival gangs. According to Romero, the shooting started when a white Honda Accord pulled up alongside three parked vehicles. Someone in the Honda opened fire on the parked vehicles and people in those vehicles shot back. The vehicles then left.
