SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) Santa Fe police are reviewing the case of female cab driver who says an officer gave her a black eye during a traffic stop. The Santa Fe New Mexican reports that 40-year-old Dawn Bourgeois says an officer tackled her to the ground and shoved her face into the cement after she couldn't find her license, insurance and registration. Authorities say Bourgeois was pulled over early Sunday for parking on the stop box for a train.
According to a police report, officer Jose Gutierrez asked for the cab's car keys since Bourgeois couldn't find the registration. Gutierrez says she angrily handed over the keys, got out of the car and refused to follow orders to get back in the vehicle.
Bourgeois faces a number of charges, including obstructing an officer.
