We are happy to report Dundee was adopted last weekend. Sweet Asia our lovely black German shepherd is hopeful her forever person is coming soon.
Sunny (ID# A 1689004) is a 1 & 1 month old, male, tan & white, Pit Bull Terrier mix. He is smaller and weighs only 30 pounds. Sunny is a young energetic boy and all puppy. He was very shy when he came to our shelter but has blossomed into a typical playful puppy. He is attending training sessions with our staff and volunteers. He is very popular with staff & volunteers because he is so attentive to the person walking him. He knows the cue for sit very well. When in training mode Sunny will sit each time the person stops walking. Like any young dog occasionally his attention is averted by the joy of being with a person. A quick reminder with a treat to focus on training and he is right back being the well behaved boy we know and love. Sunny would do well in an active home. He would love to go on daily walks, hikes or even jogging. When his youthfulness gets the best of him he can jump up and on occasion or grab your hand to encourage play so no children please. Sunny is very affectionate and enjoys some cuddle time. He has participated in several doggie play groups. Sunny loves to play with the other dogs. He can play on the softer side and seems to handle the rowdier dogs well too. Sunny has always displayed excellent doggie social skills and adapts his play style to suit the other dog so he is one of our play group greeters. If you are looking for two, Sunny’s favorite play mate is Bolo a 2 year old cattle dog his same size. This affectionate talented dog is the perfect ambassador for his breed. This fun loving guy is waiting for you at our Eastside shelter.
Felipe (ID# A 1616915) is a 3 year old, male brown German Shepherd dog mix. He weighs 60 pounds. Felipe has been at our shelter since October of 2013. He came in needing surgery on his knee. At that time he enjoyed running and playing. After his surgery he spent time in a foster home where he had time to heal and gently begin using his leg again. He has a bit of a scar but has healed nicely. Felipe loves to take walks and spend time with people. His favorite toy is a tennis ball stuffed into an old sock. He loves to toss it high into the air and catch it when it drops. Although he may favor his knee a little he enjoys running and it does not seem to bother him. He has participated in play groups and really enjoys doggie play. He can play on the rowdy side so as always we suggest you bring your present companion to the shelter for a meet and greet with the prospective adoptee. Felipe is popular with staff and volunteers. The kennel staff taking care of Felipe’s building says he is well behaved in his kennel. He keeps it clean and tidy and always greets her with a wag and a smile. He is an affectionate boy looking for his forever home. Felipe is located at our eastside shelter. Our staff and volunteers are happy to make the introductions.
