SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) The New Mexico Supreme Court is upholding a judge's rejection of a citizen petition for a grand jury investigation of a Santa Fe school and a related foundation that promotes sustainable living. A District Court judge had rejected the petition by former students and workers for an investigation of EcoVersity and the Prajna Foundation.
The judge's ruling said the petition needed but lacked addresses for signers, but the Court of Appeals ruled no addresses were required. The Supreme Court's ruling Thursday said it was reasonable for the judge to take into account the lack of voter addresses.
EcoVersity president Jeff Harbour has said allegations of alleged fraud have been found to have no merit. The state Attorney General's Office found no reason to investigate.
