NM VENUE HALTS SOME SHOWS AFTER TEEN’S DEATH

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) An entertainment venue in Albuquerque is halting all-age concerts and suspending electronic music shows following a 14-year-old Santa Fe girl's death at a show. The Albuquerque Journal reports that Expo New Mexico is taking those steps while awaiting results of a New Mexico State Police investigation into Hannah Bruch's death. The girl died Sunday morning after being found unresponsive at a concert that began Saturday evening. Her father has said he suspects his daughter was experimenting with drugs.

A spokesman for Expo New Mexico says it made the decision to halt some shows in consultation with Gov. Susana Martinez's office. The State Police say investigators are talking with dozens of witnesses and that their investigation won't be complete until a toxicology report is available within several months.
