LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) A New Mexico man is facing burglary charges after police say he broke into a Las Cruces hair salon. The Las Cruces Sun-News reports that 31-year-old Alex Cortez was arrested this week when officers found him outside the salon called The Doll House.
According to police, the Anthony, N.M. resident ran from officers and dropped a bag containing property from the salon. He was later caught. Police say the salon was broken into through a window.
Cortez is charged with nonesidential burglary, larceny, and one count of resisting, evading or obstructing an officer. It was unclear if he had an attorney.
